Health Desk. Nowadays, the problem of male infertility is increasing rapidly in men. While earlier women were considered to be the cause of childlessness, now doctors say that in about 40 to 50 percent of the cases, men’s fertility is also responsible. Changing lifestyle, stress and wrong eating habits are adversely affecting the fertility of men.

1. Bad lifestyle

In today’s busy life, most of the people are consuming more fast food, fried foods and processed foods. Due to this, there is deficiency of nutrition in the body, which has a direct impact on sperm quality and sperm count. Apart from this, staying awake till late night and lack of physical activities are also becoming major reasons for reducing fertility.

2. Stress and mental pressure

Constant work pressure, financial worries and personal life stress disturb the hormonal balance of men. According to doctors, excessive stress affects the testosterone hormone, which weakens the process of sperm formation. The risk of infertility is seen to be higher in men who are under stress for a long time.

3. Smoking and alcohol consumption

Consumption of cigarettes, tobacco and alcohol seriously affects the fertility of men. Smoking impairs sperm quality, while excessive alcohol causes hormonal imbalance. Many researches have revealed that sperm count decreases rapidly in men having drug habit.

4. Obesity and physical inactivity

Obesity is also becoming a major cause of infertility in men. Being overweight causes hormonal changes in the body, which affects sperm production. This problem increases due to sitting for a long time and not exercising. Experts recommend adopting regular exercise and a balanced diet.

5. Effect of mobile-laptop and increasing heat

Experts believe that working with a laptop in your lap for a long time or keeping a mobile phone in your pocket can also be harmful. This increases the temperature of that part of the body, which can affect sperm production. Fertility problems have also been seen more in men who constantly live in hot environments.
