The ceremony took place on May 15 in Ban Nong Phai village, Chaiyaphum Province, accompanied by a procession of cars and motorcycles, according to the Bangkok Post.
Yupin Thadthai, the wife, led the procession, presided over the ceremony, and presented betrothal gifts worth 300,000 baht (US$9,000) besides gold worth 350,000 baht to welcome Onuma Janpeng as her husband Wisanu Prangchaiyaphum’s second wife.

Yupin and her husband have been together for more than 20 years and have one child. They own an audio equipment business and several entertainment venues.
Yupin said she has known Onuma for over a decade and both of them grew up lacking emotional support. She organized the ceremony to grant Onuma public recognition within the community as Wisnu’s spouse, she said.
Wisanu added that the three of them plan to live together forever, sharing both affection and assets equally.
“We built this life together. The secret is simply giving them love and fairness.
While Thailand abolished polygamy in 1935 and the law only recognizes monogamous marriages, polygamy does occur in some communities.
Photos of Yupin leading the wedding procession quickly went viral on Thai social media, drawing mixed reactions. While some expressed shock, others praised the family’s openness and honesty.
