
New Delhi. Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). It plans to use WhatsApp to increase its reach to its members and make services more simple. If everything goes well, it will start in a month.
The objective of this initiative is to provide fast, seamless and multilingual digital services to the members, so that they can easily get information and facilities to PF accounts. Apart from this, testing for withdrawing money from UPI has been completed.

What facilities will be available on WhatsApp?
Members will also be able to get information about their PF balance, last five transactions, claim status and other services through WhatsApp. In the entire process, first the member’s mobile number will be verified with their Universal Account Number (UAN), after which they will be given menu options in their language.
Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, reaching out to members through WhatsApp will be more effective and convenient. Members will be able to start a conversation on EPFO’s verified WhatsApp number by simply typing hello. The Minister said that with the aim of making the grievance redressal system more effective, Shram Suvidha 2.0 and Samadhan 2.0 portals have also been launched.
Technical problems are being resolved
The Labor Minister said that the trial work for withdrawing money from Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) through UPI has been completed. It will start soon. More than seven crore shareholders will benefit from this. Efforts are being made to resolve software problems for smooth implementation of this system.
