The police constable on duty immediately informed snake rescue expert Vicky Dubey. Vicky Dubey reached the spot and taking utmost care, caught the snake safely and took it out. No one was injured during the entire operation and the situation remained completely under control.
Information about the matter was also given to Bandra West Police Station and Forest Department Control Room. An official diary entry of this incident has also been made in the police station.
According to the Forest, Environment and Water Department of the Government of Bihar, the Dhaman snake is beneficial for agriculture. It is also called Indian Rat Snake. It is a non-poisonous snake commonly found throughout India.
It makes rats, frogs, lizards and small animals its prey. It is not poisonous, so it is not considered a particular threat to humans, but people often get scared due to its size and color.
The Dhaman snake is an important friend of the farmers as it controls the rat population. This prevents damage to crops.
The crawling speed of Dhaman snake is very fast, due to which it is also known as Ghoda Pachhad. Its average length ranges from 5 to 8 feet and weight is about 2 kilograms. It lives for an average of 15 years.
