Dragon: On the occasion of Jr NTR’s birthday, the first glimpse at his upcoming film with director Prashanth Neel has been unveiled. The epic actioner has confirmed to be titled Dragonwith a release date set for June 11, 2027.
The four-and-a-half minute introduction into the world of Dragon reveals the war over Opium trade, fought over two groups: the Afghan Trading Company and the Golden Trading Company.
The tease shows Rukmini Vasanth’s character, soothing a baby, as she recites the first verse of the Bible, Genesis 1:1, which describes the creation of the world. While there are monumental players introduced, Jr NTR is introduced as Luger, the Devil as described by Rukmini’s character, and the chief assassin of the Afghan Trading Company.
Anil Kapoor is shown to be playing the Chief of Narcotics Bureau, Raghuveer Rathod. The cast of the film includes Biju Menon, Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Rajeev Kanakala, Ashutosh Rana, Anshuman Pushkar, Sidhant Gupta, Prabhas Srinu, Shatru, Shiva, Bhimal Jeet Oberoi, Ntuthuzelo prince Grootboom, Aleksandr Mizev, and Benedict Paul Garrett.
Music composer Ravi Basrur continues his collaboration with director Prashanth after Ugramm (2014), KGF: Chapter 1 (2018), KGF: Chapter 2 (2022), and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023). The crew of Dragon also consists of director of photography Bhuvan Gowda, editor Pranav Sri Prasad, production designer TL Venkatachalapathi, and stunt choreographers Peter Hein and Chetan D’Souza.
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Kosaraju Harikrishna are producing under their Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao Arts banner along with Naveen Yernen and Y Ravi Shankar, who are backing the film under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar are presenting the film under their T-Series banner.
