Television has often taken inspiration from Bollywood for its projects. Many TV shows in the past have been loosely inspired by films, and the latest to join the list is the upcoming show Sairaab . After the massive success of last year's musical love story Saiyaara starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda , small screen is all set to come up with a new show, Sairaab. The channel airing the show recently dropped an AI-generated promo of Sairaab, and fans soon started comparing it to Saiyaara. Many viewers also pointed out that the male lead looked similar to Ahaan Panday’s character, Krish Kapoor .
In the promo video the lead actor is shown performing on stage as a rockstar with a guitar in his hand. The video also showed the audience cheering loudly for the male lead. In another scene, the female lead, dressed in a yellow saree, is seen watching him from backstage and later walks away while he tries to stop her from a distance. Even though the actors’ faces were not revealed, many viewers online felt the visuals looked similar to Saiyaara.
Netizens took to the comment section to share their opinion about the promo. A user wrote, “The male lead is looking like Krish Kapoor from Saiyaara.”
Another comment read, “We are copying Saiyaara now?”
A user on Instagram commented, “Trying to copy Krish Kapoor from Saiyaara but not everyone can create that aura.”
Another fan wrote, “Desperation is insane. You can never copy Saiyaara because it was original.”
The makers have still not announced the lead cast of the show. However, many fans have been hoping that the makers cast Harshad Chopda and Jennifer Winget together. The pair had earlier impressed viewers with their chemistry in Bepannah.
