Open-world adventure game LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight makes its official debut on May 22 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Epic Games Store and Steam). However, like most high-profile blockbuster games, publisher Warner Bros Interactive is offering 72-hour early access to eager fans willing to pay a little extra cash.
Judging by the glowing review scores, LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight early access might be worth paying for, especially if you can bag a cheap copy from the likes of Argos. Here's when LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight launches in your region, and how you can play three days before the official launch.
For PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners, LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight early access has a May 19 release date and a midnight launch time in all regions.
This means that whether you're from the UK, Japan, Australia, India, or Brazil, you can start playing LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight later on tonight, assuming you're willing to stay up that late.
There are, however, one or two exceptions. Because of the time differences across the country, some US customers will be able to play it even earlier.
LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight early access begins at midnight ET on May 19 on the east coast of the US, and at 9pm PT on May 18 on the west coast.
Unfortunately, however, PC owners face a much lengthier wait for early access compared to their console counterparts.
LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight PC early access begins at 6pm BST UK time on the afternoon of May 19. That's 10am PT / 1pm ET if you live in the US, or 7pm CET for European fans.
Needless to say, the game's 72-hour early access period comes at a cost for LEGO Batman fans.
In order to gain early access to the new LEGO Batman, fans will need to purchase the more expensive Deluxe Edition.
The Legacy of the Dark Knight Deluxe Edition costs £79.99 on consoles and PC, compared to £59.99 for the Standard Edition.
In addition to early access, the Deluxe Edition contains the Arkham Trilogy Pack, the Batman Beyond Pack and the Party Music Pack.
Each pack contains a new suit for each of the seven playable characters, as well as a Batmobile variant, and various Batcave customisation items.
The Deluxe Edition also comes with the Mayhem Collection starring The Joker and Harley Quinn. Launching later this year, the Mayhem Collection adds new story content and a Mayhem Mode, which tasks players with causing chaos on the streets of Gotham.
