Meanwhile, the new motorcycle Oben Rorr Evo of Bengaluru based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Oben Electric has set a big record as soon as it entered the market. According to the official report, this motorcycle has crossed the figure of more than 25,000 bookings within just 15 days of its launch, which is a new record in this segment.

Oben Rorr Evo: What is the reason behind this record success?
In the Indian two-wheeler market, customers were looking for an electric bike which was not only strong in looks but also had range and performance suitable for everyday use. The company has introduced this motorcycle in 4 attractive colors – Pulse Red, Neutron Blue, Magnetic Black and Photon White. According to information received from dealerships located in major commercial areas of Delhi like Connaught Place and Chanakyapuri, the youth is liking the muscular naked streetfighter design of this bike. The company is going to start its delivery from June 2026, for which the payment portal has been made live on the official website. Customers are booking it by paying a refundable token amount of only Rs 777.
Equipped with powerful battery and heavy-duty motor
Talking about technical specifications, the best powertrain has been used in Oben Rorr Evo which makes it better than common petrol bikes:
- Battery Pack: It has an advanced LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery with 3.4 kWh capacity. This battery is 50 percent more temperature resistant than traditional lithium-ion batteries and has twice the lifecycle. The company is giving 8 years warranty on it.
- Electric Motor: The bike has an in-house developed IPMSM heavy-duty motor with a capacity of 9 kW, which is IP68 rated i.e. it is not affected by water and dust.
- Range and Speed: This bike gives an IDC range of 180 kilometers on a single charge. Its top speed is 110 kmph and it can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3 seconds.
- Charging Time: It has the facility of fast charging, due to which the bike’s battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 90 minutes.
Price and modern features
The company has adopted a very aggressive strategy on the pricing front. Its initial introductory price for the first 10,000 customers was kept at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom). After this special quota is exhausted, the regular ex-showroom price of the Oban Roar Evo will be Rs 1,24,999. Metros like Delhi may see slight variations in on-road prices depending on subsidies and local taxes.
This bike is very hi-tech in terms of features. It has a 5-inch color TFT display, which supports turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and call/SMS alerts. Additionally, it has a special AI-enabled ride mode SmartIQ, which increases the range by up to 15% by understanding the rider’s driving patterns. In terms of security, modern features like geo-fencing, anti-theft, fall detection (facility to send alert to emergency contact in case of an accident) and drive alert system have been included in it.

Impact on citizens and the way forward
This motorcycle has emerged as an affordable option for the common citizens troubled by the increasing pollution and petrol prices in Delhi-NCR. According to the company’s calculations, the monthly cost of running this electric bike is about 10 times less compared to a 150cc petrol bike. The company is currently operating more than 150 showrooms and ‘Oben Care’ service centers in more than 100 cities in more than 18 states of the country. To strengthen the infrastructure, the company aims to open 200 new exclusive showrooms by the end of FY 2027, which will also provide close service support to customers on the outskirts of Delhi like Narela and Najafgarh.
