There has been a stir in the politics of Uttar Pradesh after a controversial question paper surfaced in Banaras Hindu University (BHU), on which Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has made a direct attack on the BJP government. He has termed this entire episode as a ‘well thought out strategy’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party. While addressing the media, Akhilesh Yadav raised the question as to why such ‘crooked’ questions are being asked in prestigious institutions like BHU. Making serious allegations, he said that BJP first defames such institutions, and then we are asked questions on them. The SP chief claimed that all this is happening at the behest of BJP and the party is behind all this.

Akhilesh Yadav expressed concern over the current condition of this prestigious institution established by great men like Madan Mohan Malviya. He said that what these people have done to such historical institutions is worth considering. This is not the first time that controversy has erupted over questions to the Brahmin community in examinations in Uttar Pradesh. Even before this, such questions have been asked, which the Brahmin organizations have considered as an insult and have created ruckus across the state. Now the question asked in the question paper of BHU regarding ‘Brahminist patriarchy’ has once again raised the political temperature. Brahmin Mahasabha has expressed strong objection to this question, due to which this controversy has deepened.

Akhilesh Yadav also cornered the government on NEET paper leak issue

Apart from the BHU controversy, Akhilesh Yadav also cornered the government on the recurring NEET paper leak issue in the country. He told that everyone knows how the NEET paper was leaked once again. Making serious allegations, the SP President said that people from BJP are also included among those arrested. He sarcastically said that now NEET exam has become ‘leak exam’. Expressing grief over this, Akhilesh Yadav said that not only 22 lakh students have been affected by this, but their entire families have had to face huge problems. He said that due to cancellation or rigging of examinations, the future of the students becomes bleak and the hopes of their parents also get a big blow.

Akhilesh Yadav targets BJP government over rising inflation

Akhilesh Yadav did not stop here. He also fiercely targeted the BJP government regarding rising inflation and falling value of rupee. Questioning the skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel and the rising prices of gas cylinders, he asked BJP what happened that the government had to make them so expensive? He stressed that the government must respond to this and cannot avoid it. The SP chief said that the general public is suffering from the brunt of inflation and the government is maintaining silence on it.

Along with this, Akhilesh Yadav also expressed concern over the continuously falling value of the rupee. He questioned the government as to why it forgets to give the figures as to how much more our rupee will fall. The SP chief said in a sarcastic tone that now it seems that the rupee has taken its direction towards the underworld. He said that the government should pay attention to this serious situation of the economy and mere juggling of figures will not suffice, but concrete steps will have to be taken.
