The star-studded world of Jailer 2 just got bigger. Bigg Boss 18 fame Edin Rose has officially joined the cast of Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated action sequel, adding another exciting name to one of the biggest upcoming films in Indian cinema. The development was first reported by Variety Indiawhich revealed details regarding the actress’ role in the much-awaited project.
According to the report by variety india, Edin Rose will be seen playing a feisty, city-bred character in the film. Unlike some of her earlier appearances, her role in Jailer 2 is reportedly expected to be more substantial and not just a brief cameo. Sources suggest that the actress spent nearly a month shooting for her portions and will share screen space with several key actors in the film.
Edin Rose gained wider recognition after appearing as a wildcard contestant in Bigg Boss 18. Before entering reality television, she started her acting journey with Ekta Kapoor’s web series Gandi Baat in 2020 and later appeared in projects including Ravanasura and Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi. Her casting in a major Rajinikanth film is being viewed as a significant career step for the actress.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 brings back Rajinikanth as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian following the massive success of Jailer in 2023. The sequel reportedly features an ensemble cast including Mohanlal, S. J. Suryah, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Yogi Babu in important roles.
