At the Prime Video Presents: India launch, Vibe was among the long list of releases on the OTT giant’s 2026 slate. Written and directed by Kunal Kemmu, Vibe garnered attention as it marked Preity Zinta’s long awaited comeback to the big screen.
On May 19, the makers dropped Vibe’s release date via a social media announcement. Sharing a new poster that featured the silhouettes of all the characters, the caption said that the movie will arrive in theatres on September 18, 2026.

Preity took to her official X handle to share the release date announcement. She wrote, “Hi All, 18th Sept will be such a Vibe 😍 See you in a Theater near you very soon 💃 #Ting #Vibe”
Preity’s fans reacted to the announcement, expressing their eagerness to see the actor back on the big screen after a long time.
A comment read, “Ma’am, seeing you on Screen again already feels so special 🤩 Your presence has a charm that can never be Replaced 🧿❤️Can’t wait to watch this and see your magic again”

More about ‘Vibe’Kunal Kemmu made his directorial debut in 2024 with the hit comedy drama Madgaon Express. After Mohit Suri’s 2005 romantic drama Kalyug, he has since starred in several films, including Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal franchise, Dhol, Go Goa Gone, Malang and others. He is also working on the next instalment in Golmaal series, Golmaal 5.
The official logline of Vibe says, “A clueless slacker and his by-the-book best friend—two men who can barely manage their own lives—find the fate of the nation in their hands when they accidentally stumble into a terrorist plot.”
The film stars Kemmu, Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava and Vanshika Dhir in her Bollywood debut. Vibe is the maiden production of Drongo Films, the recently launched banner of Kemmu and producer Chirag Nihalani.
Apart from Vibe, Preity Zinta will also be seen in Rajkumar Santoshi’s directorial Lahore 1947 alongside Sunny Deol.
