‘Chand Mera Dil’ CBFC cuts 96 seconds of kissing scenes before release

This week will also see the release of Moon My Heart starring Lakshya and Ananya Panday.

The movie has managed to grab attention because of the popularity of its title track an engaging trailer the on screen chemistry between the lead actors and the fact that it falls under the intense romance genre which is currently doing pretty well at the box office.

The makers Dharma Productions apparently finished the censor process well ahead of time.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed Chand Mera Dil with a U/A 16+ certificate.

The makers were told to do two small changes it was more like edits. First the kissing visuals that last around 10 seconds, were asked to be removed and replaced with suitable shots.

Second the “lip lock kissing visuals”, lasting 1 minute and 26 seconds were also asked to be deleted. So basically the CBFC has censored about 96 seconds or 1 minute and 36 seconds of kissing shots in Chand Mera Dil.

Finally the makers were asked to submit a consent letter for each and every child artist that appears in the film.

After the changes were made the CBFC ended up handing over the censor certificate on May 8. The runtime of the film as stated in that censor certificate comes to 135.36 minutes. Put differently Moon My Heart turns out to be about 2 hours 15 minutes, 36 seconds long.
