For people travelling from London, you can reach the town in around an hour, making it a popular day-trip or weekend away destination.
According to Visit Canterbury, Whitstable and its suburb Tankerton boast more than 400 independent businesses, from vintage shops and galleries to cafés, bakers, hardware stores, and family-run restaurants.
If you're looking for a pretty coastal spot to visit as the weather gets warmer, Whitstable simply must be considered.
