He asked the people present there, ‘Think, why is May 16 special?’ After this, while replying, PM Modi himself said that on this day, exactly 12 years ago i.e. on 16 May 2014, the historic results of the Lok Sabha elections were declared.

He reminded that after a long wait of decades, it became clear that day that India was finally going to get a stable government with absolute majority. PM Modi said, “That was a day, and today is a day. This unwavering faith of millions of Indians of the country neither lets me stop nor gets tired. This journey continues without getting tired.”

PM Modi praised Indian culture and its glorious history from the stage. He said that many great civilizations of the world disappeared with the ravages of time and got buried in the pages of history, but India’s unique and diverse culture is still as alive. Generations have changed, countries have changed and even the entire environment has changed, but the values ​​ingrained within Indians and their sense of belonging are still the same. The PM gave full credit for this to the Indians living abroad, who have kept their language, roots and traditions alive even across the seven seas.
