Now you will travel by hydrogen bus in Delhi, you will get direct connectivity with metro without pollution

Delhi Hydrogen Bus Service: A big step has been taken to increase clean and smart transport in Delhi. Let us tell you that Delhi Metro Rail Corporation i.e. DMRC, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has announced the launch of a new hydrogen fuel shuttle bus service. Which will start from today i.e. 15th May 2026 in Central Vista area. The aim of the government with this new initiative is to provide better last mile connectivity to the people so that it becomes easier to reach government offices and important places from the metro station. It is also being told that it will reduce the number of private vehicles and will also help in controlling pollution in Delhi.

Hi-tech hydrogen buses will run in Central Vista

This new shuttle service will be run between Central Secretariat Metro Station and Seva Tirtha Metro Station. This is being brought especially for the benefit of government employees and people who travel daily. Under this project, Indian Oil Corporation Limited has provided two modern hydrogen fuel buses to DMRC. Inside which 35 passengers can travel simultaneously. These buses have been equipped with state-of-the-art technology which has been designed to ensure safe and comfortable travel of the passengers.

Complete monitoring will be done through GPS and CCTV

Talking about the specialty of these buses, GPS tracking system has been installed in it which will give information about the live location of the bus to the passengers. Apart from this, CCTV cameras have also been installed to strengthen security. Finally, let us tell you that this service will be available from Monday to Friday and buses will not operate on government holidays. Keeping in mind the office timings, buses will be operated in peak hours so that passengers can get more convenience.

Know the timing and which routes will be covered

The timing of these buses is from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm whereas in the evening it will run from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. There will be a bus in this service every 30 minutes. One bus will run on a clockwise route while the other will run in an anti-clockwise direction. Apart from this, if we look at the bus route, these buses are going to cover major places like Dutva Bhawan, Vigyan Bhawan, Nirman Bhawan, Akbar Road, Baroda House, National Stadium, India Gate and National Gallery of Modern Arts.

Rent will also be light on the pocket

After knowing the time and route, the fare of this bus also comes into consideration. In which the ticketing system has been kept very easy for the passengers. NCMC card, UPI and cash payment facility is going to be available for purchasing tickets. The fare of this bus has been fixed at Rs 10 and Rs 15 depending on the distance. Regarding this vehicle journey, people say that this project can prove to be a big change in the direction of green mobility and clean energy in India. In the coming time, such hydrogen bus services will be started in other cities as well, which will not only reduce costs but will also be good for the environment.
