Tremendous increase in sales of Mahindra’s electric cars, becomes second largest company after Tata

During this period, an annual growth of about 64 percent and monthly growth of 3 percent was recorded in the sales of Mahindra’s electric cars. Mahindra’s 7-seater electric SUV, the XEV 9S, has now become the company’s top selling EV, and the BE6 SUV has also seen a huge growth in sales.

Ex showroom price Rs 19.95 lakh

Mahindra’s best-selling electric car in April 2023 was the XEV 9S, with 3,242 units sold. This car has made its special identity in the Indian market and its ex-showroom price ranges from Rs 19.95 lakh to Rs 29.45 lakh. It has a 79 kWh battery, which gives a range of up to 679 kilometers on a single charge.

Range up to 656 kilometers

Mahindra’s second best selling car was XEV 9E, which sold 1,611 units. However, its sales had declined by 34 percent compared to last year. The ex-showroom price of the XEV 9e ranges from Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 31.25 lakh, and it also has a 79 kWh battery, which gives a range of up to 656 km.

Ex showroom price Rs 18.90 lakh

Mahindra’s most stylish SUV, the BE6, sold 1,170 units with a YoY growth of 113 per cent. Its ex-showroom price ranges from Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 28.49 lakh, and it has a range of 683 km with a 79 kWh battery pack.

Sales figures not yet public

Mahindra’s compact electric SUV, XUV400, sold just 66 units in April, down 80 per cent from last year. Mahindra has not yet made public the sales figures of the XUV3XO EV.
