It will be a sub-4-metre compact SUV, meaning it will be comparable in size to the likes of the Tata Punch EV and the upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO EV. Hyundai will mass produce this car in India. The company is focused on manufacturing these EVs using as many local parts as possible, to reduce costs and provide better value for money to customers.

Boxy and modern design
The design of the new Hyundai EV is expected to be quite boxy and modern. Based on the spy images, it is believed that its look will be inspired by the Hyundai Inster EV sold internationally. It may feature split headlamps, thin LED DRLs and pixel-style LED taillights. The design of the car is being developed keeping the young customers in mind, ensuring a distinct and premium look on the road.

Hyundai is also focusing on safety in this SUV. According to reports, it will have a robust body structure and several advanced safety features. It is believed that this SUV will be able to achieve a 5-star safety rating in crash tests. The company wants its new EV to be not only economical but also safe.
In terms of battery and range, Hyundai can offer two battery pack options. The first could be a 42kWh and the second 49kWh battery pack. Both the batteries are expected to offer a driving range of over 300 km. A smaller model would be more suitable for daily urban use, while a larger model is considered more suitable for long-distance travel.
