Atul Tomar, resident of Galand village of Pilkhua, was a property dealer by profession. On the night of the incident, he was returning from Bhojpur in Ghaziabad with his friend Ashok in a car (UP-37-AB-7100). It was around 10:45 pm, when miscreants riding a bike and a car overtook and stopped them near a gym on Reliance Road. The miscreants first asked him to lower the car window, but when Atul refused, they broke the window and started firing indiscriminately. One bullet went straight into Atul’s chest.
