If you are also troubled by boring snacks every day, then Paneer Tikki is the perfect option for you. It can be served as a party snack, tiffin or with evening tea. Let us know the easy way to make it and important tips.

  • 250 grams paneer (grated)
  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • salt as per taste
  • Bread Crumbs (for coating)
  • Oil (for frying)

How to make Paneer Tikki

The flavourful Paneer Tikki is very much liked. To prepare this, first mash the boiled potatoes well in a big vessel. Add grated cheese to it. Now add onion, green chilli and ginger-garlic paste and mix well.

This mixture will form the base of the tikki, so it is important to knead it well so that the tikki does not break. Now add chilli flakes, garam masala and salt to this mixture and mix well.

If the mixture seems too soft then add some corn flour to make it pliable. Due to this, the tikki will not break while frying and will become crispy. Now take small portions from the mixture and shape them into round or flat tikkis.

After this, wrap them well in bread crumbs. This coating helps in making the tikkis crisp from outside. Heat oil in a pan and fry the tikkis on medium flame until they become golden and crispy.

Frying on high flame can cause the tikkis to burn from outside and remain raw from inside, so take care of the correct temperature. Serve prepared Paneer Tikki with green chutney, tomato sauce or mayonnaise. This snack is perfect for parties, tea or children’s tiffin.
