WhatsApp, the Metaverse-owned instant messaging app used by billions of people worldwide, is reportedly working on a new optional premium plan called 'WhatsApp Plus'. This plan will be similar to services like Snapchat+ and Instagram Plus. Furthermore, those who want a more personalized messaging experience are the target audience for the new subscription. This proposal is expected to target regular users who want more personalization and organization options, rather than the business-focused premium capabilities already available on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp Plus: What can you expect?
This will mostly involve adjusting the look and structure of your app to your liking. According to initial discussions, custom app icons, unique chat themes, personalized ringtones, specific notification sounds, and other ways to organize your chat list aren't included. Basically, if you like to customize your messenger, WhatsApp Plus will be perfect for you.
However, the option to pin multiple chats is a feature that really stands out. Free users are currently limited to just three conversations at the top. With WhatsApp Plus, this number can be expanded to 20, making it easier to keep business, social, and family discussions close together, yet separate.
