In a shocking incident in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, a man named Durgesh Prajapati has been accused of murdering his wife. The body has been sent for autopsy, and a case is being registered based on the complaint. Authorities are currently investigating the motives behind the crime.
Details of the Murder Case
The incident took place in a village under the Rajpura police jurisdiction, where the accused allegedly killed his wife using an iron rod. Following the incident, Durgesh went to the police station and confessed to the murder, leading to his arrest.
According to police reports, the body has been dispatched for a post-mortem examination. During interrogation, the husband revealed that domestic disputes and ideological differences were the reasons behind the tragic event.
Murder Committed on Sunday Morning
The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Jyoti Prajapati. Durgesh committed the act around 11:30 AM on Sunday. Approximately 50 minutes later, he arrived at the Rajpura police station.
He informed the police, 'I have killed my wife and locked the house. The body is inside; please go and retrieve it.' He also handed over the house key to the officers, prompting an immediate response from the police team.
Couple Resided in a House Near Their Fields
Reports indicate that the couple lived in a house situated in their fields, a short distance from the village. Durgesh also owns a house in the village where his mother and other family members reside, while his father works as a rickshaw driver in Delhi.
Police Investigating the Motives Behind the Murder
Authorities have confirmed that the body has been sent for post-mortem, and a case is being filed based on the complaint. The police are diligently working to uncover the reasons behind the husband's actions.
