LPG Rate Hike: Today (1 February 2026), before the presentation of the Union Budget, the common man has got a big shock of inflation. Oil marketing companies have increased the prices of gas cylinders. Due to which Congress has targeted the Modi government. The country’s largest opposition party said that just before the budget, ‘Inflation Man’ Modi unleashed the inflation hunter on the public.

According to the information, oil marketing companies have increased the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by ₹ 49 on Sunday (February 1, 2026), and the new prices have come into effect from Sunday (February 1, 2026). In the country’s capital, the retail price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been changed to ₹1,740.50, while there is no change in the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder.
This follows a price hike in January, when commercial LPG cylinder prices were increased, increasing the cost burden on hotels, restaurants and other commercial users. Last month, oil marketing companies had increased the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by ₹111, taking its retail price in Delhi to ₹1,691.50.
Congress targeted Modi government
On the increase in the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder, Congress wrote in X Post, “Just before the budget, ‘Inflation Man’ Modi unleashed the inflation hunter on the public… Today from February 1, you will have to pay Rs 50 more for a commercial LPG cylinder… Just on January 1, the Modi government had increased the price of commercial LPG by Rs 111… ‘Modi government’ means ‘recovery government’…”
