Exam Date Announcement: The State Bank of India has officially announced the date for the SBI Clerk Mains examination. As per the latest notification on the bank's website, the Mains exam is set to take place on November 21st. Only candidates who successfully cleared the SBI Clerk Prelims are eligible to participate in this exam.
Admit Card Information
Currently, there is no official update regarding the release date of the admit cards for the Mains exam. However, the bank's website indicates that the link for downloading the Mains admit card will be made available shortly.
For further details, candidates can visit the official SBI website: sbi.co.in or sbi.bank.in. The call letters/admit cards for eligible candidates will be issued soon, and only those who passed the Prelims will be allowed to sit for the Mains exam.
Exam Pattern for SBI Clerk Mains
Exam Structure: The SBI Clerk Mains exam will consist of a total of 200 marks, with candidates required to answer 190 questions within a time frame of 2 hours and 40 minutes. The exam will be divided into four distinct sections:
- General/Financial Awareness
- General English
- Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability
- Computer Aptitude
Selection Criteria
Selection Process: The SBI Clerk examination is available in both Hindi and English, with the exception of the English section. Each section has its own time limit, and there will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. While there is no sectional cutoff, the marks will be normalized for the final merit list. The final selection will be based solely on the performance in the Mains exam, as there is no interview stage.
