All Indian banks, including the prominent State Bank of India (SBI), PNB, Bank of Baroda (BOB), ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Bank of India (BOI), will observe a nationwide holiday on Prakash Utsav, Guru Hargobind Ji’s birth anniversary on July 16, 2025. The holiday is granted by RBI for all branches.
The closure impacts all physical branches. Although customers will not be able to perform banking transactions in person, most critical services will still be available. Customers can access digital channels, including ATMs and online and mobile banking.
Local residents should have flexible strategies for managing their banking activities around the holiday to avoid disruption.
