When and where will the banks be closed?
June 6, 2025, Friday: Banks will remain closed in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi on the occasion of Bakrid.
June 7, 2025, Saturday: Bakrid holiday will be applicable in the rest of the country except Ahmedabad, Gangtok, Itanagar, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. Banks will remain open in these five cities, as it is the first Saturday of the month and there is no holiday on that day. 8 June 2025, Sunday: There will be a regular holiday on Sunday across the country, so all banks will remain closed.
No effect on online banking
The holiday of bank branches will not affect digital banking services. That is, services like net banking, mobile banking, UPI, ATM, and debit/credit card will continue to work normally. If you want, you can use NEFT, RTGS, checkbook request, and other digital options related to fund transfer even on these days.
