Telangana BJP leaders have stepped up their criticism of Congress officials after they made offensive comments against Eatala Rajender, the Malkajgiri MP.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, BJP State Secretary Kolli Madhavi said that former MLA Jagga Reddy, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, and TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud had used offensive language against the BJP MP.

According to her, the state government issued a land purchase order only to subsequently revoke it. She characterized the scenario as one in which the government takes “one step forward and two steps backward,” creating uncertainty because of its inconsistent actions. This is what Madhavi called “Tughlaq-style administration.” She emphasized that Eatala Rajender has been tackling the governance concerns that his people are facing, especially those related to the continuous demolition drives. “The Congress leaders are using inappropriate language against the MP instead of addressing these issues,” she said. In the meanwhile, BJP MLAs Dr. Palvai Harish Babu, Paidi Rakesh Reddy, Rama Rao Power, and Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta criticized the Congress leaders for using counterattacks rather than answering Eatala Rajender’s queries.

The leaders urged the CM to address the homelessness brought on by the demolitions right now, especially because families aren’t receiving rehabilitation. They pointed out that the Congress leaders’ criticism of MP Eatala Rajender seemed to be prearranged to support CM Revanth Reddy’s government and steer clear of important conversations on the rehabilitation of people impacted.

Despite having earlier said that it would refrain from destroying during the academic year in order to avoid disturbing students, the BJP leaders questioned why the HYDRA, which is in charge of demolishing dwellings, had not taken action against the institution owned by AIMIM president Owaisi in Hyderabad’s Old City. Since it’s summer vacation, they sought an explanation for the apparent double standards.

They also questioned why a college associated with former minister Malla Reddy, a BRS MLA, had not been destroyed while others had, recalling previous allegations of demolitions against that institution. The BJP leaders said that rather than using personal assaults, which they saw as a sign of bankrupt politics, governing party officials need to respond to the opposition’s inquiries.
