Faster Claim Processing
EPFO has integrated over 120 databases, making PF withdrawal faster and more efficient. The claim processing time has been reduced to just three days, with 95% of claims now being settled automatically.
Improved Services for Pensioners
Pensioners have also benefited from recent reforms. Since December 2024, over 7.8 million pensioners can withdraw funds from any bank branch without geographical restrictions.
A Step Towards Digital Financial Transformation
With 7.5 crore active members, EPFO is continuously expanding its reach, adding 10–12 lakh new members every month through 147 regional offices.
According to Secretary Sumita Dawra, these reforms align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making life easier. The UPI and ATM-based PF withdrawal system marks a major milestone in India’s digital financial transformation, offering greater convenience and speed to millions of working professionals.
