Starting 6.30 PM, thousands of users started seeing issues with their UPI transactions today
Did one of your UPI payments over the past hour or so fail to go through, irrespective of the app you were using? Well, you are not alone. The digital payments network is currently seeing outages across the country.
According to online outage tracking platform Downdetector, the issue started around 6:30 PM. The number of complaints of outages for Unified Payments Interface (UPI) spiked sharply around 8 PM today. As many as 3,000 users reported issues on the platform.
All major apps, including Paytm and Google Pay, were facing issues with funds transfer.
As of now, the National Payments Council of India (NPCI), which operates UPI, has not issued any clarification on the outage.
