In this way, 2.16 crore cases have been settled in this financial year. Last year 89.52 lakh claims were settled. Labor and Employment Minister Shobha Karandlaje gave this information in the Lok Sabha. She said that the limit of advance payment has also been increased to Rs 1 lakh. Nowadays, about 96% of the corrections are done without visiting the EPF office. More than 99% of the claims are filed online. 7.14 crore claims have been filed online till March 2025. This shows how much attention EPFO ​​is paying to working digitally.

Earlier, for transfer claim, it was necessary to get the Aadhaar verified UAN attested by the employer. Now this rule has also been removed. This has made things very easy for the members.
 

Whether the claims are true or false... it is known beforehand

Apart from this, EPFO ​​has also provided a facility for those members whose accounts were mistakenly linked to an institution. Now they can separate their account. This facility was started on January 18, 2025. By the end of February, more than 55,000 members have separated their accounts. All this is being done so that the accounts of the members are managed properly and they can control their own information.

EPFO has done another good thing. Now it tells the members in advance whether their claim is correct or not. This can prevent filing of wrong claims. This is called upfront validation.
