The famous Bollywood singer Udit Narayan Jha appeared before the family court for the first time here on Friday.Ranjana Narayan Jha, first wife of Udit Narayan, had instituted a case against him in 2022 for restoring her conjugal rights.The first wife of Udit Narayan Jha accused the singer of remarrying without giving her divorce. She alleged that she was never given the rights as wife and was deprived of her rights as wife after marriage.

Appearing before the court in connection with this case, Udit Narayan Jha refused for any agreement saying that he would contest the case and prayed the court to allow him to appear through video conferencing.The principal judge of the court, Rahul Upadhyay had asked Udit Narayan Jha to file a reply by January 28, 2025 and had also slapped a fine of Rs 10 against him for not appearing before the court on December 16, 2024.   (UNI)
