EPFO Alert: Employees should deal with PF by 15 February, otherwise the problem can increase

New Delhi: An important update has come for employees. The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has set the last date for linking the Universal Account Number (UAN) and the bank account with Aadhaar 15 February 2025. Earlier this deadline was January 15, but it has been extended to 15 February. If an employee does not activate his UAN till this scheduled time frame and does not link it to Aadhaar, he may face many problems in the future.

According to the information given by EPFO, employees who will not activate their UAN till 15 February, will not be able to take advantage of the Employment Linked Incentive- Eli Scheme. The scheme was announced in the Union Budget 2024-2025. The government has made it mandatory that to get benefits under this scheme, all eligible employees will have to activate their UAN and link it to Aadhaar and bank account.

Aim to reduce complaints

In PF profiles, you can now edit or update your personal information very easily. It includes name, date of birth, gender, nationality, parents' name, marriage status, spouse's name, entry and date and other information. Here, please note that this facility will be available only to those customers, which are verified by universal account number (UAN) Aadhaar. The purpose of this process is to reduce complaints and dispose of pending requests rapidly. Earlier changes required verifies from the employer, which took about 28 days.

It is known that there is big news for the employees coming under the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) Employment Linked Inventive (ELI) scheme. The EPFO has extended the deadline for activating Universal Account Number (UAN) and linking the bank account with Aadhaar.

How to activate UAN?

If you want to activate your UAN, then follow the following step for this

First go to EPFO's website epfindia.gov.in.
After this, click on for Employees in the services section.
Then click on Member UAN Online Service OCS OTCP.
After that, now click on Activate Uan.
Fill the 12 digit UAN and Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, Aadhaar link mobile number, captcha code.
After clicking on Get Authorization PIN, fill the OTP and submit it.
After this your UAN will be activated.
