Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that the Employee Provident Fund Organization has set a new milestone. The Union Minister said that EPFO has settled more than 5 crore PF claims. In the financial year 2024-25, the Employees Provident Fund Organization has settled 5.08 crore claims worth Rs 2,05,932.49 crore, along with this, claims worth Rs 1.87 crore have been auto-sold. Which is more than the financial year 2023-24. In the financial year 2023-24, EPFO settled 4.45 crore claims of Rs 1,82,838.28 crore.
Claim settlement system made easy - Mansukh Mandaviya
The Union Minister said that EPFO has made the settlement of claims very easy, with the help of which more claims could be settled. He said that we have increased the limit and category of auto settlement claims and have also made the system of change in member profile and fund transfer easy, due to which there has been an increase in the number of claim settlements.
Claims are being settled even without HR.
Mansukh Mandaviya said that due to the easy process of claim settlement, now only 8 per cent of the people are those who need HR and 48 per cent are those who are getting the claim settled on their own without the company. At the same time, 4 per cent of transfer requests are happening automatically.
