It is being discussed that Nirmala Sitharaman assured the EPS-95 National Movement Committee that their demands will be reviewed. So many employees get EPS pension

Under the Employee Pension Scheme started by EPFO, 36.60 lakh employees get the benefit of pension. In the year 2014, a minimum monthly pension of Rs 1,000 was announced. All these pensioners get the benefit of the amount. EPF members contribute 12 percent of their basic salary to the provident fund.

The employer also has to contribute the same amount. The amount released by the employer is divided into two parts. In this amount, 8.33 percent is transferred to the EPS account. 3.67 goes towards the EPF scheme.
