There is no dearth of people who like delicious dishes in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. The people of Hardoi, situated between Lucknow and Shahjahanpur, have their own unique temperament regarding taste. In such a situation, the craze for the crispy taste of an old man has been rampant among the people since before independence or should we say since the British rule. A crowd starts forming at the Khasta shop even before the shutters are opened. Before the sun rises, people start gathering at the shop in search of taste for Khasta.

Dilla's Khasta Store is situated in the middle market, about 200 meters from Hardoi Railway Station. Earlier, this shop used to be on a dilapidated wooden cart. The owner Chhote, who runs the shop, says that this is the blessings of Bap-Dada. They have not made any change in the quality of this khasta and its spices, hence the demand for it starts from the morning itself. Daily passengers and market shopkeepers have their breakfast first after opening their shops. Many customers are aged between 20 years to 80 years. From Baba's time till now, a crowd is seen at his shop before it opens. While the demand for Chinese fast food has increased, it has not affected our shopping.

What did the shopkeeper say?

Rahul Chauhan, a resident of Hardoi and who has shown his acting prowess in many films in the Maya city of Mumbai, said that Hardoi is known for its taste not only in the country but also abroad. There are churches of this condition in Mumbai also, the star cast of 'Ishq Zyada' which was served at the station in Hardoi also tasted it. Apart from this, many cine stars have tasted it many times. This crispy taste that is available early in the morning has its own significance. The biggest thing is that there is nothing harmful in it. The roasted taste of desi spices makes the day beautiful as soon as it hits the tongue. When he comes to Hardoi he does not forget to taste it. Guddu, who runs a medical store in Hardoi, says that he is a fan of this taste since childhood till now.

Politicians have also tasted it

Hardoi is a big area with eight assembly constituencies and two Lok Sabha constituencies. The boundaries of five districts give Hardoi a big position in the politics of the state and the country. In such a situation, writer Ajit Awasthi says that in the 90s, the leadership of the district started from the station itself. I think most of the politicians in the district have tasted the crunch of Delhi every now and then. This includes many leaders who hold high positions in politics like Naresh Aggarwal, Usha Verma, Nitin Aggarwal, Sukhsagar Mishra Madhur. Here people used to meet each other while eating crispy food.
