Let us tell you that in SBI, interest is available at the rate of 3.50 percent for a period of 7 days to 45 days, 5.50 percent for a period of 46 days to 179 days, 6.00 percent for a period of 180 days to 210 days, 6.25 percent for a period of 211 days to 1 year, 6.80 percent for a period of less than 1 year to 2 years, 7.00 percent for a period of less than 2 years to 3 years, 6.75 percent for a period of less than 3 years to 5 years and 6.50 percent for a period of 5 years to 10 years.

Now the question is if someone invests Rs 3 lakh in the State Bank of India's fixed deposit scheme for 180 days, how much return will they get? According to the SBI fixed deposit rate, for 180 days or 3 months, general citizens are being given 6.25% interest and senior citizens are being given 6.75% interest. In that case, if they deposit Rs 3 lakh, general citizens can get a total of Rs 3,09,317 at the time of maturity. And senior citizens can get a total of Rs 3,10,068 at the time of maturity.
