Is your annual income less than Rs 2.5 lakh? You can apply for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship

The Golden Jubilee Foundation, under the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), is offering the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship to economically weaker sections. Only one person from a family is eligible for the scholarship. If the second applicant from the family is a girl, both may be considered.
General Scholarships and special scholarships for GirChildrenld are scholarships provided for higher studies at various levels.
General Scholarship
Those who have passed Class 10 and are pursuing a vocational/diploma course, and those who have passed Class 12 (Regular/Vocational/Diploma) and are pursuing a degree in medicine, engineering, graduation in any subject, integrated course, diploma course/equivalent course in any field, vocational course, etc. are eligible to apply for the General Scholarship.
Scholarship for Girl Child

Girls studying in Intermediate/ 10+2/ Vocational/ Diploma courses after the 10th class can apply for a Special Scholarship for Girl Child.
Basic Eligibility
(i) Applicants should have secured 60% marks/equivalent grade in the qualifying examination and passed it. Candidates should be pursuing their further studies in 2024-25 in government-recognised colleges/institutions or Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
The annual family income of the parents from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs. If the sole source of family income is a widow/mother-single/unmarried woman, the annual family income can be up to Rs. 4 lakhs.
Scholarship Benefits
General Scholarship is fixed for the duration of the course and Special Scholarship is fixed for two years. The benefit will be given in three instalments each year.
1. Medical Course - Rs. 40,000 per year (12,000, 12,000, 16,000)
2. Engineering - Rs. 30,000 (9000, 9000, 12,000)
3. Graduation, Integrated Course, Diploma/Equivalent Course in any field, Vocational Course - Rs. 20,000 (6000, 6000, 8000)
4. Special Scholarship - Rs. 15,000 (4500, 4500, 6000).
