Aadhaar Card Photo Update or Change: One of the most important documents of Indian citizens is the Aadhaar card. This 12-digit number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India contains personal information such as the individual's photo and address. It is necessary to make some important updates to the Aadhaar card every ten years. If the photo on the Aadhaar card is not your favourite, or if it has been many years and you want to put a recent photo on it, you can change the photo in it.
If you want to change the photo on the Aadhaar card, you need to follow some steps.
The Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI, the Aadhaar card contains various biometrics and other information such as the name, date of birth, father's/husband's name, address, and a photo of the Aadhaar cardholder for Indian citizens. Aadhaar is important for many of our daily tasks. From joining school, or college, to work, opening a bank account taking a loan or getting a SIM card, an Aadhaar card is required for all tasks. In such a situation, you can know the steps to follow and the rules for this.
You are allowed to change the photo of your Aadhaar card as per the UIDAI rules. This work is done at the Aadhaar centre. You have to pay a small fee for this.
1. If you want to change or update the photo of your Aadhaar card, you have to go to the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. By going there, you have to get the form for correction in the card from there and fill it. In this form, you have to fill in your details including your 12-digit Aadhaar number, full name, etc.
2. You have to mention the information that you need to update in the form. After this, you have to take the form and wait for your turn. When your turn comes, you have to give the form to the concerned officer. After your Aadhaar number is entered into the system by the officer, all your information will appear on the screen.
3. Then your biometrics will be taken and your photo will be clicked. You will also be given a receipt stating that you have updated the photo on your Aadhaar card. The new photo will be updated on your Aadhaar card in a few days.
