On his Instagram account, renowned Guru Gaur Gopal Das posted a stunning poster along with a note expressing how much the artist would be missed.

Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’ Kumar, Akshay Kumar, referred to Ustad Zakir Hussain as a ‘treasure’ of the nation’s musical legacy. The ‘Housefull’ actor posted on Instagram, saying, “I’m really saddened to learn about Ustad Zakir Hussain Saab’s tragic passing. He was a genuine gem for the musical legacy of our nation.
Bollywood star Ranveer Singh shared a picture of the tabla master with a red heart and folded hands emoji in remembrance of him.
The famous tabla player Ustad Alla Rakha was the father of Zakir Hussain, who was born in Mumbai, India, on March 9, 1951.
He also received a Grammy Award for his work with Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead on the Planet Drum CD.
Over the years, Zakir Hussain has received several honors for his services to music, including four Grammy Awards, the Indian government’s Padma Shri (1988) and Padma Bhushan (2002).
