New Delhi: A major piece of good news has arrived for Aadhaar cardholders today. The deadline for updating Aadhaar cards that are 10 years old has been extended, allowing holders to update their Aadhaar for free until June 14, 2025. Earlier, the deadline was set for December 14, 2024, but now it has been extended by an additional seven months, giving citizens more time to update their Aadhaar cards for free.
UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) shared this update on the platform X, announcing the extension of the free update service. This free service is available exclusively on the #myAadhaar portal, and individuals can easily avail this online facility without any hassle. Previously, today was the last day to avail the free update service.
