Currently, EPFO members must wait 7–10 days for the settlement of online claims before funds are transferred to their bank accounts. The new ATM withdrawal system aims to eliminate this delay. A dedicated card will allow members to withdraw their PF money directly after claim approval, making the process as seamless as withdrawing money from a bank.

Enhanced IT Infrastructure

Union Labor Ministry Secretary Sumita Dawra stated that EPFO is focused on upgrading its IT infrastructure to provide bank-like services to over seven crore members. Significant progress has already been made, and further improvements are expected by January 2025.
