The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has given a significant update to its account holders. For the financial year 2022-23, an interest rate of 8.15% is being credited to the accounts. Approximately 7 crore people will benefit from this.
Ways to Check Interest Credited to Your Account:Account holders can check the credited interest amount through various methods:
In addition to the interest, certain account holders may also be eligible for an additional bonus of up to ₹50,000, provided they meet the following criteria:
- The individual has been contributing to EPFO for at least 20 years.
- A portion of the basic salary is included in the bonus calculation.
The bonus will be provided under the 'Loyalty Cum Life Benefit', a special provision by EPFO for long-serving employees who meet the conditions.
Digital Services for EPFO Members:EPFO has also made it easier for members to access their PF balance and passbook details. You can check these details using:
- The UMANG app
- SMS or missed call
- The online portal
