New Delhi : Life Insurance Corporation of India i.e. LIC has launched a unique scholarship scheme for children. LIC has named this scheme as LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2024 Scheme. Under this scheme, children who are financially weak are going to be helped.
According to the LIC website, you can apply under this scheme only till 22 December 2024, which is said to be the last date of this scheme. Know other information to this scheme.
These children will get scholarship
According to the LIC website, only online application can be made in this scheme. This scholarship scheme is going to be given only to those children or students who are financially weak. LIC has said that this Golden Jubilee Foundation Scholarship Scheme 2024 is only for those students who have passed 10th, 12th, Diploma or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 60 percent or equal in the academic year 2021-22, 2022-23 or 2023-24. Have passed equivalent exam and educational year Have taken admission in the first year of any course in 2024-25. Only such students are eligible for this scheme.
Also let us inform you that through this scheme the scholarship is divided into two parts. The first is general scholarship and the second is special scholarship for girls. In this too, general scholarship has been divided into two parts, the first part will include children studying medical and engineering and the second section will include students doing vocational courses from any government college and IIT diploma. In this scheme, which is going to be started for special girls, there is going to be a separate scholarship scheme for the girls doing intermediate as per 10+2 pattern after 10th or doing diploma like IIT or Polytechnic.

In General Scholarship, any boy or girl who is eligible can get scholarship. Under this segment, an amount of up to Rs 40,000 will be given every year to selected students pursuing higher education in the medical sector. Students doing courses like B.Tech in the engineering sector are going to be given scholarship up to Rs 30,000 every year. On the other hand, those children who take admission in vocational courses from government colleges or those who do ITI from government colleges are given scholarships of Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000, the scholarship will continue to be received every year as long as the course runs.
Girls will get special scholarship
Under this scheme, after 10th, those who want to pursue further studies or do diploma in any special course or ITI will have to do it. For this, these girl students will get Rs 15,000, which will be given in 2 installments of Rs 7500 each for 2 years.
