New Delhi: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024 to support students from economically weaker families. The initiative aims to provide financial assistance to deserving candidates pursuing higher education.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024: Application DatesThe application process for the scholarship will begin on December 8, 2024, and the deadline for submission is December 22, 2024. Students can apply online through the official LIC website at . LIC has emphasized that only online applications will be accepted for this scheme. Eligibility CriteriaThe scholarship is open to students across India who have passed Class X, XII, or diploma examinations in the academic years 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Eligible candidates must have secured admission to the first year of their course for the 2024-25 academic year.The scheme covers students pursuing:- Medicine, Engineering, or graduation in any discipline.- Diploma courses or integrated vocational programs in government-recognized institutions or Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).- Additionally, a special scholarship for girls will support those pursuing Class XI and XII studies or two-year diploma courses after Class X. Application ProcessStudents must complete their applications online, providing a valid email ID and contact number for communication. After submitting the application, an acknowledgment will be sent to the provided email, and further correspondence will be handled by the LIC divisional office mentioned in the acknowledgment email.

Scholarship DisbursementSelected applicants will receive the scholarship amount directly in their bank accounts through NEFT. LIC has advised candidates to provide active bank account details, including the IFSC code and a canceled cheque, to ensure smooth transactions. For accounts in merged banks, the updated IFSC code must be provided.
