PhonePe on Tuesday launched a new and affordable insurance plan for dengue and malaria, starting at just Rs 59 per year. This health insurance plan provides coverage of up to Rs 1 lakh for dengue, malaria, and other air and mosquito-borne diseases. People living in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, especially those living in tier-3 cities, can avoid any unexpected medical expenses throughout the year through this insurance.

This plan covers more than 10 diseases, such as malaria, dengue, chikungunya, filariasis, Japanese encephalitis, swine flu, bird flu, typhoid, pulmonary tuberculosis, and meningitis. It also includes the cost of hospitalization, tests, and treatment in the ICU. Like other insurance plans, this plan is not limited to monsoon only. It protects throughout the year, so PhonePe users can avail of insurance at any time.

This plan can be purchased, managed, and claimed instantly on the PhonePe app. Being a 100% digital process, claims are resolved quickly and easily. Even those who already have corporate health insurance can opt for this plan for additional protection.

Vishal Gupta, CEO, of PhonePe Insurance Broking Services, said, “We aim to make insurance accessible and affordable to everyone. This insurance can be purchased by going to the "Insurance" section on the PhonePe app and selecting the "Dengue and Malaria" option. Users can view the plan details, sum insured and premium options. The insurance can be availed within minutes by filling in the policyholder details and completing the payment process.
