EPFO extended the deadline for UAN activation under ELI scheme, this is the new date

EPFO has extended the last date for linking UAN. Earlier it was 30th November, which has now been extended to 15th December 2024. The time limit for linking bank account with Aadhaar has also been extended. Employers have been asked to update the UAN and bank account of all new employees timely. With this, employees will get full benefit of the government scheme.

The main objective of the ELI scheme is to increase new jobs and to provide help to employees and employers. Under this, those getting jobs for the first time will get financial incentives. Employers will benefit by providing additional employment. It is necessary to link UAN and Aadhaar, so that both the employee and the employer can get the full benefit of this scheme.

Plan A: For first-time job seekers

Scheme A is for those who are working for the first time. In this, salary up to Rs 15,000 will be given to the employees in three installments. This money will go directly into the bank account linked to Aadhaar. This scheme has been made to include new people in jobs and to provide them financial help.

Plan B: For manufacturing sector

Plan B is to increase employment in the manufacturing sector. In this scheme, employers and new employees will get incentive on EPFO ​​contribution. This benefit will be available for four years. This scheme is beneficial for providing new jobs in the manufacturing sector and increasing production.

Plan C: For more employment

Plan C is for employers in all sectors. In this, the government will give Rs 3,000 per month to the employer for every new employee. This help will be available for two years. With this scheme, employers will be able to hire more people. Employees with salary up to Rs 1 lakh can avail this benefit. EPFO says that UAN and Aadhaar linking must be done by December 15, 2024, so that employees can avail the benefits of these schemes.
