Lately many SBI Bank customers are receiving these types of messages. Your reward points are expiring. Notifications and sms will come saying click the link to redeem the points before the expiry date. If you click, that's all, bank officials say.

Experts say that customers are receiving scam messages mainly due to the change in some rules. Fraudsters will focus on your account through these fake links. In that instant all the money in the account will be empty. Not only that, even if there is no money in your account, the bank has issued instructions not to open such links.

Even if you don't have any money in your account, there is a possibility of massive fraud by stealing bank details, PAN card details and other personal information, the bank said. SBI Bank will not send any message regarding such reward points. The bank suggests verifying all these through SBI NetBanking, app or visiting the nearest branch.
