Although Aadhaar card is required for PF claim, but recently EPFO has made new rules related to Aadhaar, under which some people will get their physical claim approved without Aadhaar link, i.e. they will get the PF money. These employees will get exemption
According to EPFO rules, if any employee has to settle PF claim i.e. withdraw money from PF. For that, his Universal Account Number and Aadhaar Number should be linked. But EPFO has given exemption to some employees within this rule, who can take money from PF even without Aadhaar.
1. Such employees who have completed all the assignments related to PF and have gone abroad. They will get exemption.
2. Apart from this, exemption will also be given to those people who have left India and gone abroad and have also taken citizenship there. Those people can also settle the claim without Aadhaar.
People of Nepal and Bhutan will also get exemption
EPFO has said that people from Nepal and Bhutan, who are working in any company in India where EPF facility is available, then they will also get physical claim without Aadhaar card. However, for the final redemption of these people, citizenship certificate will be required. Without that you will not get the full amount.
UN will have to be generated – EPFO
EPFO has issued dues guidelines for the employees of Nepal and Bhutan, in which how the money will be received. This has been explained in which it has been said that PAN and bank accounts etc. should be seen to check their eligibility. EPFO has also underlined in its circular that due care should be taken in these cases, details of verification should be duly recorded. Apart from this, if the amount is more than Rs 5 lakh, then information about it can be taken from the company and the money will be transferred through NEFT. Apart from this, EPFO said that those who do not have UN. It will be necessary for them to generate UAN, because the need to link UAN with Aadhaar has been removed. Not to the UN.
