At present, there is no provision to deactivate or cancel a person's Aadhaar card after his death, Aadhaar card is not mandatory even for death registration. Surrender PAN card
To surrender the PAN card after death, write an application to the Assessing Officer in whose jurisdiction the PAN is registered. In it, attach the name of the deceased, PAN, date of birth and a photo copy of the death certificate. Surrendering the PAN card is not mandatory but can be done after settling all financial matters.
