UPI Payment New Rule: You will no longer need a bank account to make UPI payments. Also, you can make UPI payments from others' bank accounts. National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has recently introduced the delegated payment system UPI Circle. This feature will soon be available on UPI payment apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm. Currently, this feature has gone live on the BHIM UPI app.
What is UPI Circle?
UPI Circle is a delegated payment service in which a UPI user can add his family members or close relatives and friends. This can also include those people who do not have their own bank account. NPCI has made the UPI payment system flexible and has brought this feature especially for those family members who are dependent on others for cash. After being added to UPI Circle, they will also be able to make UPI payments.
You can use the option of these two methods
Full Delegation
In UPI Circle, users can use two types of delegation - full and partial. In full delegation, the user has the freedom to set a monthly limit of up to Rs 15,000. This means that other users in your circle can make payments of up to Rs 15,000 in the entire month. They do not need to take payment approval from the primary user i.e. you to make payments.
Partial Delegation
In partial delegation, all the secondary users connected in the UPI circle need approval for every transaction. As soon as the secondary user makes a UPI payment to someone, the primary user will receive a notification of the payment. The primary user will approve this payment by entering his UPI PIN. Also keep in mind that the primary user will be considered the one who creates the UPI Circle. Any UPI user can exist in only one UPI Circle.
How to use UPI Circle?
To use this feature, both the primary and secondary users must have the BHIM UPI app on their phones. Also, both must have a UPI account. In this, the primary user must have a bank account.
Primary user should first launch BHIM UPI app on his/her phone.
After this they will see the UPI Circle feature on the home page.
If you are creating a circle then go to the Created option and if someone has added you then go to the Received option.
Keep in mind that whoever creates the UPI Circle will be considered the primary user.
On the next page you will get the option of Add Family or Friends.
Here you will be able to add someone to UPI Circle by scanning the QR code or by manually entering the UPI ID
