According to a report, about 97,640 EPFO ​​members and pensioners are expected to get Pension on Higher Wages under the Employee Pension Scheme 1995. This report of 'The Hindu' said that this number of people getting Pension on Higher Wages is stated by combining 8,401 Pension Payment Orders (PPO) and 89,235 demand notices. According to the report, demand notices have been sent only to those who have been found eligible for Pension on Higher Wages (PoWH). Let us tell you that this is being done to comply with the order given by the Supreme Court on November 4, 2022.

What is the option to choose Pension on Higher Wages in EPS?

When an employee has to select the option of higher pension, he chooses the option of higher employer contribution in the EPS pension plan. Note that employees who were members of EPF on September 1, 2014, can choose the option of a higher pension. On choosing this option, the extra amount is deposited in a separate pension fund, which keeps increasing gradually due to the interest received on that money. In this way, the total pension amount increases.

How to check EPS higher pension application status?

Around 97,000 PF members (Provident Fund Members) and pensioners across the country are waiting to get higher pensions under the Employee Pension Scheme 1995. If you are also among those who have applied for a higher pension, then you can check the status of your application.

If you have completed the application process by visiting the official website of the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) to get a pension on higher wages under EPS, then you must have received a receipt. When you fill out the form, then a link (URL) is also issued by EPFO ​​to check the status of the application. If you want to check the status of your application, then you can take the help of the steps given below.

Step 1 - For this, first of all, you have to go to EPFO ​​​​Member e-Service Portal.

Step 2 - Now on scrolling down a bit, you will see the option of Track application status for Pension on Higher Wages on the left, click on it.

Step 3 - After entering all the necessary information being asked here, like Acknowledgement number, UAN, and PPO Number, enter the captcha code.

Step 4 - Now you have to click on the check box to give consent to ask for your Aadhaar number, biometric or one-time pin (OTP) data to prove your identity.

Step 5 - After this, you have to click on the 'Get OTP' button.

Step 6 - After entering the OTP received on the mobile linked to Aadhaar, you will see the status of your application.
